The Warrior and the Ballerina Share Their Secret
The Warrior and the Ballerina Share Their Secret
The Warrior and the Ballerina meet
And see their own reflections.
His strength is protecting those things he loves,
Hers is expressing the lightness of Being.
So little difference between
The tip of the sword,
The point of the toe.
His biggest fear is weakness,
Hers is vertigo.
The path of pain must also be honored,
And then, deftly disguised—
The price of awe.
And so they willingly accept this fear, this pain
as both
Their enemies and their intimates.
The Warrior and the Ballerina smile,
And recognize their secret:
Their greatest strength and closest friend
Is Balance.
